About the artist
From that day on, she started cutting her teeth in just about every place you can think of in Nashville, such as Tootsies, Rippy’s, The Scoreboard, Loser’s, The Stillery, Fifth + Broadway, Puckett’s, The Local, The Cambria, The, The Virgin Hotel, The Weston, Live Oak, The Listening Room, and even the iconic Ryman stage to name a few. In addition to this, she has had the honor of playing many writers’ rounds in Nashville, showcasing her original music. Some of her favorites include: Nashville Tour Stop, Rebel Rouser, The Get Up, Pindrop, On The Verge, Stompin’ Grounds, Lucky Money, and many more. She has also been invited multiple times to play at Nashville’s Most Wanted event, hosted by Cody Purvis at the Local in Hendersonville, TN.
Not only has she been able to play many incredible stages here in Nashville, but she has also had opportunities for her music to be heard on the screen. In July of 2024, she was featured on both Talk of the Town on News Channel 5 and The Local on News 2 Nashville, where she was interviewed for her song, “That Girl,” which came out that June. In addition to this single, she has had two other songs, “Crazy” and “Here We Are Again,” that were released in 2023. In May of 2025, she released her debut EP, titled “Little More Country,” featuring three different tracks, including the title track “Little More Country,” “Hey Carly,” and “Set On Goodbye.” In August of 2025, she had the opportunity to perform one of the new songs off her EP, “Hey Carly,” on the “Gibson Gives” stage on Today In Nashville at News Channel 4. All of these songs were recorded at Aura Lea studios just north of Nashville with her producer, Cody Leppo, who is also the drummer for Jamey Johnson.
This past November, she played her first-ever songwriter’s festival: The Frank Brown International Songwriter’s Festival, where she had the opportunity to meet and play alongside some amazing songwriters at some of her bucket list venues, including the famous Flora-Bama. She was able to showcase many of her released songs, some new unreleased songs, and hear some behind-the-scenes stories from some incredibly talented writers. Ivey has always had a heart for helping others through sharing the gift of music. She has had the honor of performing at events for the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Tennessee and Brightstone in Franklin, Tennessee.
Ivey Campbell is a young, up-and-coming country singer-songwriter who was born and raised in Nashville, TN. At just seventeen years old, she is making waves in the Nashville music scene; however, this isn’t her first rodeo. She’s been on stage since she was just six years old, singing all different genres from pop to musical theater. But growing up just south of Music City, country music had always been in her veins. When she was thirteen years old, she decided that she wanted to sing and write country music. So, she did what any other kid her age would do: she quit sports, theater, and all other activities and picked up her guitar. She started writing songs and learning all sorts of covers by her favorite artists with the dream of playing them out in Nashville one day. A year later, right after she turned fourteen, she went out and played her first-ever gig in a small BBQ joint in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Since then, the wheels have never stopped turning for the young artist.
This past April, she had the opportunity to open up for country singer-songwriter, Walker Hayes (“Fancy Like,” “AA”) for a special performance for the Boys and Girls Club of South Central TN at their “Songwriters and Heroes” event. After hearing her performance, Walker Hayes personally invited her to play in the writer’s round after, alongside hit songwriter, Phill O’Donnell. She considers this night as one of her most inspiring moments as a young artist. Getting to learn and hear advice from the heroes that she’s looked up to as a writer, while giving back to the Boys and Girls Club, truly reminded her of the blessing music is in her life, and why she loves getting to do it.
In addition to Walker Hayes, some of her biggest inspirations as an artist include Carly Pearce, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBryde, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Dixie Chicks, George Straight, and Jamey Johnson. She has a rich, Southern powerhouse voice with a Nashville flair, and her music reflects her favorite 90’s country influences with a modern twist as she writes about heartbreak, loss, chasing her dreams, her faith in Jesus, and navigating life as a seventeen-year-old girl.
The young singer is just getting started and hopes to one day fill the boots of the legendary artists and songwriters she’s looked up to since her start in music.
